If you like the taste of those chocolate oranges at Christmas time then you will love these cookies. I forgot about these delicious little cookies until a month ago. The orange and chocolate flavors are amazing in this yummy little cookie. Give it a try and consider it for your holiday plates.
1/2 C. softened butter
3 oz. pkg cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet mini chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease cookie sheet. Cream together butter, cream cheese, orange rind, sugar and vanilla. Mix flour and salt and beat into mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoons (I use melon scoop). Bake 10 minutes until lightly browned. Makes 2 dozen and can be doubled.
